Yes that's right, vinyl is one of the greatest gifts to the preservation of the art of music. Digital is inferior and tape recordings deteriorate. Preserving these vinyl pieces of art is important for the enlightenment of future generations. This cleaning system was developed over the past 30 plus years. It is simple, effective and economical.
Cleaners that touch the LP with the force provided by a vacuum can cause damage by flattening the lands, the delicate area that separates the grooves, distorting the information contained in the grooves. The inrush of air developed by a vacuum cleaner can dry an amount of the cleaning agent before it is removed leaving a residue behind. The inrush also dries the liquid along with dirt on the pickup tube and can have the effect of sandpaper. Some cleaners reuse the cleaning fluid. The GEM Dandy touches the LP with clean water only - not contaminated water from a dip tank. The LP is mounted on a rotating mandrel with protective label covers that repel the water. The Super Solution agent is applied to the LP surface to loosen the contaminants. A jet of water from an orifice is applied to the grooves at an angle that flushes away the debris. This system rivals an ultrasonic cleaner costing many thousands of dollars. This is the only method that has a chance of recovering a flood damaged LP.                hifigem.com

The GroOove Lube product has been in use for many years. Its primary function is to eliminate the slip stick problem as the stylus traces the grooves. There are three benefits from this action.
One: Quelling this slip stick action helps eliminates induced resonance vibrations of the stylus and cantilever. The stylus to grove motion without the cantilever resonance lowers distortion.
Micro level sonic reproduction is dramatically improved thus enhancing detail. The total presentation is more lifelike.
