Antique Victorian Gold Filigree Engraved Cattails Purple Stone Buckle Brooch

DESCRIPTION:
Offered Here is an antique Victorian Era Large Oval Brooch. This lovely Art Nouveau brooch is bezel set with a large Amethyst stone that I believe is cut faceted glass. The outer rim of the brooch is decorated with cattails and the wispy cattail leaves. Both sides have an ornate gold filigree that are soldered in the back to the central bezel.  This fine early brooch measures 2 1/2" in length by 1 3/4" in height. I have shown with a Dime coin for size reference. It is fitted on the back with a long hinge pin and simple C loop.
Truly a gorgeous antique brooch with excellent jewelry craftsmanship.
